How many subreddits does Repro Intel monitor? +
We actively track 35+ subreddits across 8 categories — contraception, abortion access, general SRH, fertility & pregnancy, condition-specific communities, STI & sexual health, LGBTQ+ health, and political/advocacy spaces. We also continuously monitor for emerging communities. However, to ensure accuracy and tailor each report specifically for SRH leaders, we apply strict relevance filtering: only posts that directly address sexual and reproductive health topics are included in the analysis. In high-volume general subreddits (like r/TwoXChromosomes or r/politics), most posts don't pass this filter — which is by design. This means the report may show data from 13–20 subreddits in any given week, but that reflects our quality threshold, not our monitoring scope.
      What does "engagement" measure? +
Engagement is a composite metric combining upvotes and comments on each post. It captures community resonance — posts with high upvotes but few comments indicate broadcast/sharing behavior, while posts with many comments indicate active discussion and peer support. Both patterns are significant for SRH intelligence.
How are topics assigned to posts? +
Each post is analyzed by Claude (Anthropic's AI) and assigned to one or more SRH topic categories based on its content: Abortion Access, Contraception, STIs & HIV, Healthcare Access & Equity, Mental Health & Stigma, Trans & Nonbinary Health, Misinformation & Education Gaps, and Policy & Legislation. This classification powers the topic distribution charts and cross-cutting theme analysis.
What is the Counter-Intelligence section? +
The Opposition Intelligence tab monitors anti-choice and opposition communities for narrative tracking, organizational targeting, misinformation campaigns, and surveillance/legal threats. This data is collected and analyzed through a completely separate pipeline and is never mixed with the main SRH community analysis. It helps SRH leaders anticipate and respond to coordinated opposition activity.
How current is this data? +
Each weekly brief analyzes posts from the preceding 7-day window. The "Generated" timestamp at the top of the dashboard indicates when the analysis pipeline last ran. Data is scraped, filtered, classified, and analyzed in a single automated pipeline run.
